| Design: |
Jokisch NBK is an easy emulsifying, transparent,
synthetic, water soluble concentrate. It has been designed almost
exclusively for grinding applications. It addresses the concerns
of grinding, keeping stones (grinding wheels) clean and free, while
containing strong corrosion inhibitors to prevent rust. Jokisch
NBK has an extremely stable and long life, which reduces dumping
as well as provides a safe working environment. Jokisch NBK keeps
machinery clean and does not affect machine paint. NBK is also utilized
as a dip/spray-on rust inhibitor. |
Safety: |
Jokisch NBK contains no hazardous ingredients and is chemically
balanced. Jokisch does not use or need hazardous biocides. They
are sometimes called perfumes, deodorizers or tea bags to control
rancidity or to keep the coolant stable. NBK is chlorine and sulfur-free. |
Performance: |
Jokisch NBK is manufactured to provide a maximum cooling effect
while grinding all materials, especially carbide, graphite, glass
lenses, and other optic related materials. |
pH: |
Jokisch NBK has a pH between 9.0 - 9.5. This prevents rusting
of machine, fixtures, and parts. Jokisch NBK can also be used as
a corrosion inhibitor at a 2% mix (1:50) |
Foam: |
NBK has very strong anti-foaming agents. This lends itself well
to blanchard and creep-feed grinders which require a strong anti-foaming
coolant for maximum performance during high pressure coolant feeds. |
Consumption: |
Jokisch NBK does not evaporate due to its unique formulation
which reduces coolant consumption by 50% or more. Water must be
replaced and a refractometer (RHB-32) is recommended for proper
coolant maintenance. A 1:35 - 1:50 part water mix ratio is optimum
with a "top-off" mix suggested at 1:80. |
Disposal: |
Jokisch NBK is extremely stable and as such will not need to
be disposed of as often. Changing the coolant once a year or using
an extremely efficient filtering system is highly recommended. Jokisch
NBK is chlorine-free which reduces disposal costs. |
